Covid Vaccine Advocacy – With Lt. Governer Husted in 2021

Last week a pharmacist friend of mine told me that now they are giving walk-in Covid vaccine and they are opening a new vial to vaccinate one person even if they have to discard the rest of the doses in that vial. And another person won 1 million dollars for just being vaccinated. It makes me so happy to see that we are doing every possible thing in the efforts to vaccinate people in the US. However, at the same time it makes me so sad when I look at the situation in Nepal. Just in this second wave, I have already lost few family members and friends to COVID. I truly believe that the solution to this problem is COVID vaccine. I am also worried that if other countries like Nepal are not vaccinated soon, we may have newer mutant strains that might be resistant towards the current vaccine and we may experience another wave in the US as well. In order to stop this chaotic cycle, we need to vaccinate the rest of the world as well.
I would like to thank everyone who are involved in advocacy to send vaccines to Nepal but there are a few names that needs special mention.

Thank you, Representative Mark Johnson for being there for me and the people of Nepal. I really appreciate you connecting me to Ohio Governor’s, Senator Portman’s and Congressman Wenstrup’s offices. Again, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you so much Councilman Bhuwan Pyakurel for your exceptional love and support towards Nepal. Thank you for organizing meeting with Senator Brown’s office.
I would also like to thank Teresa Lewis (Congressman Wenstrup’s office) and Kevin Hoggatt, Ohio Director (Senator Portman’s office) for your time and support.
I would also like to thank Kul Chandra Gautam Dai , Ambassador Dr Khatiwada and Suman R. Timsina Dai for guiding and helping us. Always grateful to CONA team for their help.
