I recently attended 28th annual general meeting of America Nepal Medical Foundation (ANMF)in Chicago. It was so fun to meet friends, seniors and juniors from the fraternity. This was by far the most well-organized, high-quality conference by any Nepali organizations that I have attended in the US. I was very impressed by the dedication and teamwork of the organizing committee and it was nice to see the past, present and incoming presidents – Dr’s Santosh, Bhupesh, Binod & Bishnu Sapkota were all working so hard together selflessly. This is something to learn from ANMF where the bigger goal of the organization is prioritized over their own position/rank/personal interest.
The theme of this year’s conference was “Building Resilient Health care System in Nepal”. Every year ANMF contributes significantly in various sectors of health care in Nepal and has played a vital role in providing a platform for all the like-minded people who want to give back to Nepal’s health care system. You can find more about the work done by ANMF at https://www.anmf.org and you can also help by donating here.
I also would like to congratulate Dr Binod Khadka for his successful tenure and best wishes to the new team – President Dr. Bishnu Sapkota, Vice President Dr Narayan Neupane, Secretary Dr Nabin Kaini, Joint Secretary Dr Bikash Bhattarai and the entire team.
Best wishes to newly formed ANMA (America Nepal Medical Association) https://anmaus.org/ and President Dr Rajesh Pokharel
It was such an honor to receive the recognition as ANMF life member and Honorary Consul of Ohio for Nepal during the AGM.
Thank you so much.
